About Us
Located on 48 Foster Avenue in Bridgehampton, New York Studio 3 is centrally situated in the Hamptons and our dancers represent schools, both public and private from Southampton to Montauk. Our 1000 sq. ft. dance facility is equipped with a professionally sprung, sub-floor and double hard wood barres. We offer both school year and summer classes in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Theatre Dance, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Modern. Since we began in 2005 Studio 3 has been the home of hundreds of dancers from toddlers to seniors.
STUDIO 3’s mission is to provide a professional environment where children and adults can learn the art of dance. A non competitive and supportive dance environment, Studio 3 focuses on teaching the fundamentals of proper technique via certified and experienced dance instructors who instill in their students confidence in physical artistic expression.
Meet the Team

Diane Shumway
Artistic Director and founder of Studio 3, Diane Shumway has been teaching dance in the Hamptons for 20 years. Certified by Dance Educators of America to teach Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern and Acrobatics in Levels 1 to 3, Diane studied with Charles Kelley, Raymond Lukens, Mark Santoro, Steve Sirico, David Scala and Louis Kavoris. She began dancing at the age of 6, receiving formal training with Genevieve Manning. Diane has conceptualized and choreographed 12 productions for Studio 3. Meredith Shumway
began her formal ballet training at the age of 14 with Maggie Black. She has trained at the Kirov Academy of Ballet Summer Intensive and received a full scholarship to the American Ballet Theater summer program. Meredith studied ballet at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi where she was a member of the Mississippi Dance Company. She graduated from Ole Miss where she was on the Hop-Hop dance team. Meredith has choreographed and performed in numerous Studio 3 productions as well as for organizations such as Dancers Responding to AIDS, Relay For Life and Hurricane Sandy Relief Benefit- broadcast by LTV. Meredith is also a certified trainer at Tracy Anderson Method.

Faith Pelle
Faith is a recent graduate from Florida Southern College with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Dance. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Stony Brook University, with hopes to aid in the rehabilitation of dancers/performers. Faith has been trained in multiple disciplines of dance including ballet, pointe, choreography, variations and modern; and has been dancing since the age of 3. During her undergraduate studies she has performed roles including Odette from Swan Lake, Paquita in Paquita and Giselle in Giselle. She looks forward to sharing her love for ballet with students, and hopes to grow their passion and push them to achieve their artistic goals.

Connor Hubbard
Connor is originally from New York City but recently relocated to Hampton Bays. He‘s performed professionally across the country for several years in musicals such as Mary Poppins, Hello Dolly!, Saturday Night Fever and many others. He’s trained extensively at both Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway. He is incredibly passionate about musical theatre and can’t wait to teach at Studio3!

Jenna Miller
Jenna Miller is a native of New Hampshire where she began her formal dance training at the age of seven. She is a National Irish Dance Champion with the Smith-Houlihan Irish Dance Academy in Boston. She studied classical Ballet at the Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts in Torrington, CT and graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of the Arts, Philadelphia, PA with a BFA in Dance.
